Shipping Services Setup

The primary function for Shipping Service Setup:
The administrator can set up the Relationship Between Carrier Services and Markup Rates

To enable the "Get Rates" function for the client to get started on shipment operation, the administrator can follow the above steps to set up the Shipping Contract, you will learn how to add shipping service for the contract. Before adding a service, the administrator must set up the carrier in Carrier Setup - "Carrier Setup"

This function allows admin users to:

 

Review Shipping Services

Search Path: Setting - Management - Client Setup - Edit - Shipping Service

Click "Contract Setup"  under the "Client Setup" page

Review the "Shipping Services"

Create Shipping Service 

Search Path: Setting - Management - Client Setup - Edit - Shipping Service - Add

Shipping Service Fields Explanation

  • Carrier Service Selection

    • Select the Carrier Service from All the Available Services Listed in the Dropdown Menu (Fuzzy Search Available)

  • Carrier Account Selection

    • Select the Carrier Account from All the Available Accounts Listed in the Dropdown Menu (Fuzzy Search Available)

  • Activation Date 

    • Select the desired date range by clicking the date fields and selecting the date under each field

  • Third-Party 

    • All billed amounts from this service will be paid by a third party
    • The payment type of the shipping services is set up under the "Carrier Setup"

  • Rate Quote Setup

    • The administrator can add the mark-up rate for this service 
    • Example    Total Shipping Cost  Total After Markup
      Markup (%) 5 $10.00 $10.05

  • Advance Markup Rate Setup

    • Advanced Setup must be activated to setup the surcharge 
    • Advance Setup can be Activated by Turning on the Below Switch 1217303-200.png
    • Once the advanced setup is activated, fill in the following fields (Please see the below notes)Screen_Shot_2022-08-05_at_9.23.17_AM.pngNotes:
      1. If “Set Maximum rate to published price" is selected, the rate will not be higher than the published rate 
      2. Once the Advanced Setup is activated, the user can self-define the markup rate by weight
          Ex.
      Weight Range Zone 2-8  Other Zone
      1-100lb 5% 10%

Click "Confirm" to assign a new service to this client
